2018 has been busy so far and we’re delighted to be kicking off a number of new projects in strategic planning, facilitation, collective impact, and Innoweave’s Impact and Strategic Clarity module. In the coming months, we will be updating this space more often to share what we’re learning.

We are grateful to all the community leaders and innovators who attended last week’s Social Innovation network conversation at McMaster University Centre for Continuing Education.  This event was part of a Canada-wide conversation led by the Social Innovation Institute and the Centre for Social Innovation to explore what an network supporting change makers might look like.  It was a great conversation and we look forward to more of them to come. The Institute expects to report back in the coming weeks on their findings and next steps.  We will share those with you.

Also last week we were fortunate to help facilitate an amazing group of more than 100 leaders in the City of Toronto EarlyON sector to develop their strategic priorities for 2018 and 2019,  We learned a lot about the sector and the great work already happening – and were impressed by the detail and quality of the recommendations coming out of that day.  Congratulations to all of the attendees and to the organizers for making our job so much easier!

New this year is the Newcomer’s cohort of Innoweave’s Collective Impact module.  Check Innoweave’s February newsletter for a quote from Sally about our work with Local Immigration Partnerships in Ontario.

Amazing we’re almost into March already. We’re happy to be part of the Innoweave Impact Accelerators in Ontario again:  Lynn will be at the  1 pm March 1 Innoweave Impact Accelerator workshop happening  at Innovation Works, 1st Floor Solutions Lab , 201 King Street, London. Register here.

If you can’t make the London session, Lynn and Sally will both be part of the 9:30 am March 8 Accelerator at the United Way Toronto and York Region, 26 Wellington Street East, 12th floor, Toronto.  Register here.

And finally, we’re looking for new ways to strengthen our impact through our B corp responsibilities.  We were certified as a B corp in 2017 and are enjoying new connections with  fellow B corps across Canada. We will have more announcements during the year about improvements to our environmental impact.

Thank you to all of our clients, partners and neighbours for a great start to 2018.
