As we reflect on the past year, we are grateful for the gift of learning our communities, partners and clients have given us this year. As the sector moves to recover from COVID-19 and we grapple with the realities of systemic racism and the climate crisis, we are thankful to have had the opportunity to learn from so many with lived experience.
In our end of year message to you we want to continue to share the gift of learning by sharing a few (free) opportunities below:
- Truth and Reconciliation course made available by RBC for all Canadians: Free seats are available for the online truth and reconciliation course from Reconciliation Education and First Nations University of Canada. Seats are available now until December 31st. Learn more here.
- Indigenous Canada – Offered by the University of Alberta this course explores key issues facing Indigenous peoples today from a historical and critical perspective, highlighting national and local Indigenous-settler relations. Learn more here.
- Be Anti-Racist podcast – On the podcast Be Antiracist, Dr. Ibram X. Kendi, the author of How to Be an Antiracist, imagines what an antiracist society might look like and how we all can play an active role in building one. Listen here.
We are inspired by our partners’ and clients’ generosity and resilience during these uncertain times. As we close out the year, we wish you and your loved ones hope and joy this season. We look forward to reconnecting with you in 2022.
